Houses that indeed had an  indoor toilet, the  effluent was reported to be directly infiltrated into unlined infiltration pits.  Dishwashing practices are outside on top of a wooden table, with  greywater soaking  directly around the area


A clear concern the untreated  greywater ditches which discharge its effluent in larger open canals that lead to the rainwater runoff of the city, eventually discharging into the sea.   Most houses have  water standpipes.
